The lives of older adults are a montage of experiences that foster better understanding of the past, present and future. In recognition of Older American’s Month, H.A.N.D. invites you to join us in celebrating those special older adults in our community who deserve our respect. Along with the gifts they have given throughout their lives, there is still so much more that we can learn and share.

Here's how you can join:

-- Nominate Your Elder --

Tell us about an older adult you respect or has impacted your life by sending us an email or message us on Facebook!

• Please include your Name, Address, and Phone Number upon submission.

• All entries submitted will be shared on Facebook and entered in a raffle for a night on the town!

 

-- Photograph Your Elder --

Enter our photo contest by submitting a photo that embodies the theme of "Respect Your Elders"
All photos submitted will be posted on our Facebook page for you to share with friends and family for votes. The photo with the most votes will have their photograph publicy published! For guidelines and criteria, click here.

-- Honor Your Elder --

Make a donation in memory of/in honor of a loved one.

 

All entries must be submitted by Friday, May 25, 2012

Join Us On Thursday, May 31st, from 4:00 - 6:30 PM at the WellMed Senior Center for a small reception and the screening Age of Champions, a documentary about a group of atheletes who prove it's never too late to become a champion, ranging from a 100-year-old tennis champion to a 86-year-old pole vaulter.
