Samantha Young
As the Regional Manager of Nurses Unlimited, Samantha has many years experience working in the seniors market. She received a Degree in Health Professions in 1990 from Southwest Texas State University and began working as a Nursing Facility Administrator. After five years of working in a facility, she then opened an adult day care and later for a private non-profit agency that had many programs geared toward helping older adults remain independent. After five years of running their very successful home care program, she decided to start my own program that enabled her to care for her son at work. She sold Practical Care to Nurses Unlimited in April of 2011 in order to add nursing services. They have successfully developed a true case management service which includes their Social Workers and RN’s.
Amy Ybarra
Amy Ybarra is a labor and employment attorney with Constangy, Brooks & Smith, LLP and has 13 years of experience working with management and advising them on employee issues. She has worked with management from several home health and health care entities in assisting with staffing issues, policies and procedures, as well as contract negotiations. She previously served on the Volunteer Services Council of the El Paso State Center.
Mark Hanna
Mark Hanna serves as a spokesman for the Insurance Council of Texas (ICT), the largest state insurance trade association in the country. Early in his career Hanna worked for several Texas radio stations before serving as anchorman for KTBC-TV for eight years. After TV, Hanna headed up public relations for the University of Texas System producing the University of Texas Report radio program, the University World TV series and the Dr. Red Duke Health Report. In 1994, Hanna joined the Texas Department of Insurance where he served under four insurance commissioners. Since 2002, Hanna has served as manager of public relations and membership at ICT where he created the Texas Committee on Insurance Fraud, produced an award winning documentary on Hurricane Ike, helps maintain the state Arson Hotline and has managed the distribution of $500,000 for more than 250 students studying insurance and risk management at ten Texas universities.
Joe Fisher
Joe Fisher is Director of Quality at Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) in Austin, TX. Prior to joining AMD, Joe was at General Electric, where he ultimately held executive leadership positions as VP Quality and GM Technology (New Product Introduction). Joe has considerable experience driving company strategy and leading large global engineering teams. In addition to serving on the board at H.A.N.D, Joe serves on the Board of Directors for the Port Royal Ocean Resort in Port Aransas, Texas.
Dave Angelow
Dave has over twenty years of experience leading transformational change as a line manager and management consultant. He is an expert in organizational alignment, innovation and operations management, and strategic selling. Because of his broad experience and deep functional expertise, he was appointed to be examiner for the Malcolm Baldrige Performance Excellence Award. Dave teaches Operations Management at Texas State University and prior to Dave’s current role his experience includes: Sr. Manager in Dell Product Group, Vice President Operations for Fiskars Brands, Sr. Director Presales Consulting for i2 Technologies, Sr. Manager for Ernst & Young Consulting, Manager Deloitte Consulting. Dave earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Northern Iowa and his MBA from the University of Wisconsin and is recognized as a Project Management Professional (PMP) by the Project Management Institute.
