Angel in Disguise....
Patricia was referred to Helping The Aging, Needy And Disabled, Inc. by Community Action early this year. The professional and compassionate connection, with this client and our agency can truly be expressed in this brief story.
Our Independent Care Coordinator visited Patricia a week before Christmas...
"I did a little light housekeeping for her today and noticed that her condition was worsening. She has come to a point where she is totally unable to do anything for herself anymore….much less her housework. Her daughter was there and kept stating over and over how sweet and patient our agency has been with her mother. Our services were a so very needed and have relieved the burden for her in so many ways. 'You are blessing, it’s so comforting to know you are always a phone call away'.
"As I was ready to leave, Patricia took my hand and pulled me over to her so I could hear … barely speaking above a whisper said, 'You’ve been my angel on earth, God Bless you for all you’ve done for me here and just remember, I love you.' Then Patricia drifted off to sleep with a tender smile on her face."
